WHO WE ARE

Big Blue Theatre started in 2021 when a group of college students put together a series of one act plays in a garage, and since then, it has grown into a yearly summer collaboration of artists, purely fueled by the love of theatre.

Big Blue Theatre’s mission is support the work of artists through the creation of new theatrical work. This includes plays, concerts, improv, and any other form of theatrical entertainment.

We are founded on Collaboration. The theatre is a place where teams are made, friendships are found, and we are all allowed to experiment alongside our peers. Whether you are an actor, designer, writer, technician, or any other kind of artist, you have a place here.

We strive for not only artistic purpose and development, but for Joy. We want not only to create excellent work, but also show processes that are fun. We want to work with artists who are passionate, talented, and love the work they do. It is that very passion that turns garages into stadiums.
